Irene Skleres

I am very passionate for our beloved Ashtabula County and all of the resources our county can offer. My love for books started very early in life growing up on a farm here in this beautiful county. Just by opening a book I could travel to faraway islands, foreign countries and magical worlds. Books helped me create who I am and develop a passion for reading and lifelong learning. Irene understands the need for educational and learning opportunities our libraries can bring to everyone. Our libraries are the key of our communities and provide access to materials and valuable resources to all community members. My focus is to help everyone understand that the library remains a valued and important part of our community.
