Support the Library
First of all we would like to thank you for considering making a donation to the Ashtabula County District Library. The ACDL can accept all forms of donations from monetary, materials, and time. All of these types of donations help us continue to serve our local communities.
Gifts

The Ashtabula County District Library welcomes general donations to help support our operations. We also welcome donations in memory of a loved one.
You can donate money directly to the library in person at any library location; by mailing a check or money order to the address below (please do not send cash in the mail); or by using the PayPal link below (no PayPal account required).

Memorial Donations:
You can donate a cash amount directly to the library, recommending a subject area of interest to your loved one. The Library staff will help select a title using your donation, and a bookplate will be added to the item. The Library will let you know when the item is available for the public.
You can pick up or print a donation form; fill it out; and drop it off at any ACDL location (including a Bookmobile stop!)
Material Gifts
The Library, in accepting the gift, obtains free and complete legal title to it. The Library may dispose of materials that do not meet the criteria.
If an appraisal is desired, the Donor shall incur the cost of the appraisal prior to the transference of the gift to the Library.
The Donor may prepare and attach a list of materials donated to be signed by staff accepting the materials. Library staff will not prepare such a list.
We welcome: Paperbacks, Hardcovers, Audiobooks, Kids’ books, DVDs and CDs, Puzzles and Games.
We can not take: Textbooks, Encyclopedias, Moldy or mildewed books, VHS tapes, Cassette tapes, Vinyl Records, Magazines, Readers Digest Condensed Books
If you have donations that meet the criteria above, please stop by either of our locations to drop them off. On rare occasions we have more donations than we can handle, so it might be a good idea to call ahead to make sure we’re accepting donations at that time.
The Foundation
The Ashtabula County District Library Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides financial resources for programs, services, and capital improvement projects beyond the public resources available to the Ashtabula County District Library system.
You can support the mission of the Foundation today by visiting the Foundation’s Donorbox by mailing your tax-deductible donation to: The Ashtabula County District Library Foundation, 4335 Park Ave, Ashtabula, OH 44004
Gifts to the ACDL Foundation allow you to make financial commitments to the library not only for today but in the future. When you make a donation to the library, you help to assure that generations to come will have the opportunity to get a library card and explore the world through books and various methods of technology.
Volunteer

The ACDL Board encourages individuals and groups to volunteer their time and efforts. You can do this independently or as a member of the Friends.
The library’s volunteer program is designed to expand and enhance public service to the community. Volunteers generally provide support services to paid staff, and/or work on special projects. Volunteers learn more about the library and its place in the community and observe firsthand the way the library serves the community’s needs.
