The Bookmobile at Ashtabula County Fair
August 7-12, 2012
Bookmobile parked at Fair

It was the second year in a row we took part in the Ashtabula County Fair, and it was great fun. A bit hot at times, but still...

A great chance to meet up with old friends and, we hope, make some new ones.

Free crafts for the kids and free books for all ages... we even registered a few new ACDL library cards.

Library Snapshot Day
Nov. 15, 2011
(in which we take part in a special project begun by the State Library of Ohio to try to show a "day in the life" of the State's Libraries, and their importance to the communities they serve.)

Storytime is a regular feature at both ACDL's main library downtown and the Geneva branch. It's part of our commitment to help get "every child ready to read."

Reading is the core skill for a whole lifetime of learning, and it's never too early to get your child started with books. The benefits will last a whole lifetime.

ACDL has more than 200,000 items in its collection...

...and something close to 1.5 billion (that's right, with a B) more we could get for you via inter-library loan.

People on computers at Ashtabula Library
Universal access to computers and the Internet has become one of the most important ways the Library helps people keep up with the demands of the Information Age.

There's often something special going on at the Library. Some teens from Geneva High School...

Teens have snack outside on bench     ...and snacks are always welcome when there's "heavy lifting" to be done.
One of the great things about libraries is... Librarians. There's a lot of information available, and finding it can be  problem. But whether it's genealogy, business, health or any other subject, you can count on the librarian to help you find what you need to know.    Librarian Helping Patron with Genealogy Research
