HISTORY
Crash came to the Geneva Library in
the Fall of 2006, fully prepared for indoor life - declawed,
neutered, house-broken and staring at the front door of his
new adopted home. First, though, he would have to get past the
Library's Director, who had many times decreed, "No
Pets!" The two rapidly developed an eerie human-feline
bond, and Crash was accepted into the Library's family.
However, once the staff began to
suspect Crash's mind-control power, out came the aluminum foil
hat...

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF CRASH
|
|

|
One of the first things we noticed about
Crash is that he likes to, well, "crash." He'll look
for any opportune, vaguely comfortable nesting place and lie down
for a brief snooze.
We're fairly certain he wasn't intentionally trying to choke our
Branch Coordinator. |
|
|
Our boy Crash is not a small cat!
Surprisingly, he's not all fluff-and-nonsense either; nor is he a
complete butter-ball. When he wants to lounge atop
nine-feet-tall cabinets in the staff room... he finds a way! |

|
|
|
 |
Crash keeps the staff on their toes. Over and
above his penchant for flopping mid-floor, regardless of
"traffic flow," he can often be found in boxes and
shipping crates. So far he hasn't gotten sent out with the
delivery items! |
|
|

|
He's an indoor-outdoor kitty, allowed to romp through
the summer grass when he's not lounging in the air conditioned
library. We caught him on film one blustery winter's day,
staring wistfully at his favorite outdoor play area. |
|
| Somehow Crash got into the garage and onto the
Bookmobile. We found him at the driver's seat, looking for the
keys. When we picked him up to return him to the Library, he
glared as if to say, "I'm going to go out on that bus,
yet!" |
