To Borrow an eBook or Digital Audiobook...

• You will need an ACDL Library Card.

• Your account must be in good standing (no fines or overdues).

• You must know your PIN.  (Don't know it?  Call 440-997-9341 x3 or 440-466-4521 to speak with our Circulation Departments.)

To Use an eBook or Digital Audiobook...

• You MUST have the appropriate software installed on your computer.

  • Adobe Reader

  • MobiPocket Reader

  • OverDrive Media Console (Requires Windows Media Player 9 or 10.)

• You MUST have Internet Access (high-speed / DSL recommended).

• You MAY choose to use the material on a PDA or MP3 player.

When you email your library's support email address, it will be helpful to include the following information in your message:

• Library card number
• Operating System (Windows 98 SE, Mac OS 9.1, etc.)
• eBook software and version (Adobe Reader 6.0.2, Mobipocket Reader Pro 4.8, etc. In most applications, find this under Help > About.)
• Internet browser and version (Internet Explorer 6.0, Netscape 4.8, etc. In most browsers, find this under Help > About.)
• Internet Service Provider (Earthlink, MSN, AOL, etc.)
• Is a firewall in operation (yes or no)
• If applicable, PDA device type and operating system
• Title(s) of problem eBook(s)
• Format(s) of problem eBook(s) (Adobe, Mobipocket, etc.)
• Exact text of any error message (screen shots are extremely helpful)
• URL of any error pages (copy the contents of your browser address bar and paste into the email)
• Steps to reproduce the problem
